In 13 years, the Grand Canyon Brewery + Distillery has established itself not only as a leader in Arizona’s craft beer and liquor scene, but also as a powerful business voice for the protection of Arizona’s natural places.
“We have inspiration on tap in our backyard – the Grand Canyon – one of the most beautiful sights in the whole world,” said Alexander Phillips, Director of Sales and Marketing for Grand Canyon Brewery + Distillery. “Arizona’s diverse lands offer unbelievable flavors, from the chanterelle mushrooms you see on our seasonal menu to the prickly pear that we infuse into vodka.”
It is this appreciation and love for Arizona’s wild lands – and their culinary gifts – that motivates Alexander and founder John Peasley to actively support conservation efforts in the community. One way they do this is through their products and the conversations they start.
“Conservation Kolsch was one of the most successful, if not the most successful one-off beers we’ve ever brewed. And we donated five percent of Trail Hike IPA sales to rebuild and maintain hiking trails in the Grand Canyon,” said Phillips. “It’s about getting the message out to folks who might not know much about what’s happening but who want to help once they know more.”
With locations in Williams and Flagstaff, Grand Canyon Brewery + Distillery’s brand identity is rooted in a love of Arizona’s most iconic national park, so it’s no wonder they are all so committed to conservation!
