Without Arizona’s public lands, Arizona Outdoor Experience wouldn’t exist because it’s where they conduct their camps and activities.

Inspired by his own love of the wilderness, high school teacher Kent Younger started his business to provide outdoor adventures for people of all ages. Arizona Outdoor Experience supports school-age kids, international college exchange students and older adults 55+ in developing wildlife awareness and survival skills as they camp, hike, biking, kayak, and practice archery and shooting skills.

“My favorite place to be is in the forest – the outdoors is the only place where there’s refuge to get away from it all,” said Kent.

“People experiencing the outdoors together adds to the power of the moment.”

Kent is looking forward to using his voice to protect public lands: “I’ve never seen so many people out enjoying the outdoors as I have during the COVID epidemic. This gives us an opportunity to not only teach Arizonans the rules and ethics of the outdoors but also that we all have responsibility to advocate for protection of our public lands.”
