Josh Kirchner started Dialed In Hunter as a blog for himself to look back on the memories he was creating while hunting. Then, over the years, editors started approaching him to write about his adventures for their publications. Now, he is officially a freelance hunting writer, photographer, and videographer.
“I only work with companies I trust and advocate for on a personal level - I need them to align with my ethos. My whole brand works toward getting new hunters inspired enough to get outside and realize that hunting is so much more than filling a tag. I’ve always advocated for access, experience, and pushing people past their comfort zones.”
Kirchner is concerned as he sees more and more kids growing up without parents that get them outside and he hopes his writing encourages others to change that trend. He focuses his writing on backpack hunting, highlighting the opportunities in Arizona, and expanding it.
“Currently, Arizona gets overlooked as a hunting destination but there are so many opportunities to have an incredible experience on our public lands.” Part of expanding how people view Arizona is ensuring our public lands are conserved, promoted, and allow access.
