Good news: The Grand Canyon area may soon be protected for generations to come!

Outdoor recreation businesses thank U.S. Reps. Grijalva, O'Halleran, Gallego, Stanton and Kirkpatrick, and U.S. Sens. Sinema and Kelly, for recently introducing the Grand Canyon Protection act, which would permanently protect nearly one million acres of public lands from toxic uranium mining and safeguard outdoor recreation opportunities in the heart of Arizona.

Uranium mining near the Grand Canyon is unacceptable, especially given the science available and the known risks to our natural resources, the economy of Northern Arizona, and the communities that depend on Colorado River water. This bill is a responsible approach based on science and with a vision for the future and our economy.
