As the owner of two marketing firms – Be Outdoors Arizona and Triffid Marketing – Kara Jensen sees a huge opportunity for Arizona’s tourism and outdoor recreation industries in the post-COVID-19 world.
“The pandemic has really changed everything. There has been a shift in attitudes about what to do, away from commercialized activities and towards getting outdoors,” Kara said.
“We have a unique opportunity to advance tourism, outdoor businesses and conservation now that people have reconnected with nature.”
After accepting an invitation to go antelope hunting, Kara was hooked on the outdoors. She became an avid hunter and joined hunting organizations where she learned about conservation and became a passionate advocate for not just wildlife, but public lands, as well.
Kara’s interest in GOAZ is to join ranks with other Arizona businesses who want to protect Arizona’s public lands and the outdoor recreation industry that depends on them. In a nod to post-COVID outdoor enthusiasts, she said,
