According to new data released by the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA), the outdoor economy is now outpacing domestic growth AND is contributing more than $1 trillion to the U.S. economy….

On Sept. 22, the Sedona City Council gave its support to Coconino National Forest’s application for Land and Water Conservation Funds to purchase 27 acres of land at the base of Airport Mesa, adjacent to Oak Creek. Following passage of the Great American Outdoors Act this summer, significantly more funds are available for conservation purchases.

The U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis released its annual report that lays out the importance of the outdoor recreation economy in hard data.
